When the USA won the Women's World Cup this year, one of the players scored a hat trick within 16 minutes.

USA Wins 2015 Women's World Cup

On Sunday, the big game took place when the United States beat Japan in the epic tourament. Carli Lloyd, one of the American players, scored two goals in the first five minutes, according to Bleacher Report. She became the second American to score twice in a Women's World Cup final.

Lauren Holiday then scored a goal in the 14th minute, but Lloyd made her way back in with another goal just moments later. She is officially the first American to record a hat trick in the Women's World Cup final.

In a previous report from BBC, the athlete opened up on how she was ready for the big tournament and she was going to show the world what she can do.

"I want to bring everything I have to this game," she said. "Everything is on the line and my foot is on the full pedal force. Our confidence is growing, it grew against China and Germany and now it's no regrets, full throttle. We know what's at stake and have to play our best. We'll be able to weather the storm, we've got fresh legs and are physically fit."
