Before the news was announced that Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner were getting a divorce, the married couple went on a trip to the Bahamas with their three kids.

On Monday, People reported that the Hollywood stars are staying a family despite the fact that the marriage didn't work out. The site posted photos of Affleck and Garner as they sat down together on their vacation and seemed to be in a solemn and contemplative moment. The actor also appeared to still be wearing his wedding ring as he sat with his future ex-wife.

"The family felt it was important to be together and they were together," a source said. "The family is united, and no matter what, will protect the kids."

Affleck reportedly arrived to the private resort on June 28th while Garner showed up the next day, which happened to be the couple's 10-year wedding anniversary. The day after that, they announced their divorce.

An eyewitness pointed out how things were going for the pair as they sat on the bench outside. Apparently, they had "no physical contact" and the actor looked "distracted," but they "seemed to be cordial to each other. They would look at each other and speak and then both look away in silence. A lot of the time, they seemed to just stare off into space."

Affleck and Garner are parents to Violet, 9, Seraphina, 6, and Samuel, 3.
