It's been quite a ride so far in this season of The Fosters with more changes coming up soon.

'The Fosters' Actor Opens Up On Jude-Connor Relationship

Now that Mike is taking care of AJ, this is bound to create a lot more tension in further episodes. On Monday, KSiteTV posted a live interview with Danny Nucci (Mike) who revealed if his fostering AJ will change his relationship with his son, Brandon.

"Oh, it certainly does," Nucci said. "It certainly creates an entirely new dynamic especially because I think Mike doesn't know how to be a dad to both of them. And you always focus on the new shiny toy and I think Mike struggles with that aspect of it."

Unfortunately, when it was discovered that Mike would take AJ under his wing, Brandon wasn't considered, which was something that his father most likely had no intention of doing.

"I think he wanted to consider Brandon," Nucci said. "But I think just the way everything happen so quickly, I think he could've done a better job."

The actor also opened up on how his character tries to stay part of the family despite the fact that it's with his ex-wife and the life she created after him.

"I think that's a conscious thing on Stef's part," Nucci noted. "And I think it's also something that Mike has in his own way- certainly not in any kind of manipulative way- but just in terms of being very clear that he'd like to be as much part of the family as possible."

The Fosters airs on Mondays at 8 p.m. ET on ABC Family.
