Jenelle Evans has come a long way in the last couple of year.

Jenelle Evans Celebrated The 4th Of July With Nathan Griffith

Although the Teen Mom 2 star struggled with a drug habit for years, Evans is now clean and sober, and dedicated to her family.

"My life has changed so much since I stopped doing drugs – my whole attitude has changed," Evans told PEOPLE Magazine on Tuesday. "I'm more active in my children's lives, and I want to be at every milestone and special event they have. Being there for them is more important to me than going partying or doing drugs."

Jenelle Evans Is Heading To Court Next Month To Regain Custody Of Son

During one season of Teen Mom 2, Evans and her then-boyfriend, Kieffer Delp, were seen strung out on heroin, but these days, Evans claims her children, Jace, 5, and Kaiser, 1, keep her on the straight and narrow.

"Having Kaiser has kept me so busy and motivated that I don't have time to hang out with the wrong crowd," Evans explained. "I only focus on my sons, school and my future."

Following a split earlier this year, Evans and her fiance, Nathan Griffith, were forced to co-parent Kaiser, but in the months since, they have reconciled the relationship.

"It was my first time co-parenting with the father of my child because [Jace's father] wasn't in his life," she told the magazine. "We were both very understanding and very fair about the days that we had Kaiser."

As for what led Griffith back to Evans, she said, "In the end, he realized that he wanted his family back."
