Following the violence he was forced to inflict at the end of season five of The Walking Dead, Rick may find himself torn about how to proceed with his future when season six starts up in October.

Rick & Morgan Set For Conflict

In a new image of the character in the new season, he seems to be at a literal crossroads behind the walls of Alexandria. Rick (Andrew Lincoln) is seen in the photo no longer wearing the constable's uniform he was initially provided when he moved in to the community, and is standing in the front part of a truck at the corner of two streets within the community's walls. He also appears to be looking out into the audience.

The show seems to be picking things up immediately after the events of the season five finale, which saw Rick shooting Pete to death just as his old friend, Morgan (Lennie James) showed up and appeared shocked at his friend's use of violence.

Glenn, Maggie & Daryl Armed & Ready For Battle?

If the photo is supposed to be symbolic of Rick's state of mind, it could mean that he will find himself torn by how to proceed following the shocking events that night. Morgan, who has since become more zen as the apocalypse has gone on, could become seriously opposed to his old friend after witnessing his violent action. Now, as Rick looks back on how he has handled things recently, he could find himself being truly torn between who he was and who he has become.

The Walking Dead returns in October.
