One Direction kicked off the North American leg of their On The Road Again Tour Thursday night in San Diego at Qualcomm Stadium.

The band was really stoked to reunite. Niall Horan even did his usual Where We Going Today Mark? video post on Instagram with the band's personal trainer Mark Jarvis.

Anyway, the show seemed to be pretty flawless for the most part.

How Are The Remaining Members Of One Direction Coping Without Zayn Malik?

Horan called the crowd "bada--" and declared Qualcomm Stadium "was one of the best I've ever seen," noting how "insane" the audience was.

"Loved every minute of it," the Irish member of the boy band added. Ben Winston who works with the band a lot even snapped a photo of Horan on stage "rocking out" and looking incredibly happy.

While Horan and probably Liam Payne and Louis Tomlinson had a pretty amazing first gig of this leg, Harry Styles experienced some public humiliation as he took a tumble during "Through the Dark" since it looked like his mic stand got caught on something. Fans at the show caught the embarrassing situation on camera and shared it to various social media platforms. The first view is from kind of directly in front of Styles, but further back in the crowd so it's not clear what happened until he leaned back too far and went off balance and basically ate the stage floor.
Next is a side view, which gives an interesting angle to Styles' fall. He kind of seems startled once he realizes what's most likely going to result from the stage snafu.
In this final view since the crowd member is elevated and can actually see the stage floor, it does look like the singer's mic stand caused this entire situation.

Perhaps he should pay more attention next time so this can be avoided. He did recover fairly gracefully though. He seemed rather self-conscious seeing as he asked the crowd to delete all evidence of the fall, but of course that didn't happen.

The band will hit up the San Francisco Bay Area's Levi's Stadium tomorrow, July 11. Hopefully the show will go without any falls from Styles or any of the other band members.
