Even the President of the United States has been officially disappointed by the path Game of Thrones took in its season 5 finale.

Maisie Williams Shoots Down Rumors Of A Jon Snow Return

During the show's San Diego Comic Con Panel, show director David Nutter told fans that he had recently met with President Obama, who had some hard questions for him about the shocking events of the finale--which  saw Jon Snow (Kit Harington) betrayed by his fellow brothers of the Night's Watch and stabbed to death in the last minutes of the episode.

"Three weeks ago, I was in the company of the President of the United States," Nutter said. "He turned to me, put his hand on my shoulder, and said, 'You didn't kill Kon Snow did you?'"

Kit Harington's Long Hair Causes Speculation About Jon Snow's Fate

Unfortunately for the POTUS, Nutter wasn't going to give him an answer that would make him ultimately happy.

"I said, 'Jon Snow is deader than dead,'" he recalled. "I thought I was going to be sent to Guantanamo or something, but fortunately I'm here--by the's dead."

Nutter revealed that Obama also reprimanded him for continually "killing off his favorite characters."

Since the season five finale, fans of all kinds have been wildly speculating the possibility that Snow would be brought back to life, with the most popular theory being that he would be resurrected by Melisandre (Carice Van Houten), who arrived at Castle Black just hours before he was betrayed. However, most of the cast--including Harington himself--and the crew have all vehemently denied the character would be back on the canvas during the next season.
