Despite their struggles to contain a couple of rookies, the Dallas Cowboys (5-5) still managed to pull out a narrow victory at the weekend on Sunday. The circumstances will be no different when they take on rookie QB Robert Griffin III and the Washington Redskins in this big Thanksgiving Day NFL matchup.

The Dallas Cowboys are looking for their third consecutive win overall and a seventh in the last eight matchups versus the Redskins.

One week after prevailing over the Philadelphia Eagles by a 38-23 margin, Dallas now sits just one game behind the New York Giants in the NFC East after a 23-20 overtime win against the Cleveland Browns.

"We are going to enjoy this one for another 10 minutes or so and then get to the Redskins," said Cowboys' coach Jason Garrett to ESPN.

Garrett is well aware that his team will face an uphill battle in attempting to slow down Griffith, who will make his first NFL appearance in his home state on turkey day.

The former Baylor standout was nearly flawless on Sunday, as he completed 14 of 15 passes for 200 yards and a career-high four touchdowns in a 31-6 victory over the Philadelphia Eagles. To top it off, the first-year phenom also rushed for an additional 84 yards on 12 carries.

"(The Redskins) are certainly playing different offensive football than they've played in the past because of RG3 being their quarterback. We certainly have to do our best to get on top of what they're trying to get done," Garrett stated to the Cowboys' official website.

"They've certainly been very impressive at different times and they do a variety of things, and we've got to make sure we can contain him," he added.
