Andy McNally and Marlo Cruz might have Sam Swarek in common on ABC’s Rookie Blue, but it’s been revealed that Andy actually has a soft spot for her boyfriend’s ex, who’s actually pregnant with his child.

How Does Sam Really Feel About Margo’s Pregnancy On ‘Rookie Blue’?

Actress Missy Peregrym, who plays Andy, reminded fans of her and Marlo’s history.

“Andy spent a lot of time defending Marlo. She risked her career for Marlo by fudging the book so she would keep her job, and she kept a huge secret for her,” she told Zap To It earlier this week. “So for theist o happen, Andy doesn’t hate Marlo. She doesn’t. She actually cares about her, and it’s jut a really tough scenario where it would be easier to hit her. It’s wonderfully messy.”

Still, Andy is in a pretty awkward spot as Sam tries to be a good father to his unborn child with Marlo, while still being compassionate and thoughtful of Andy’s feelings and keeping their relationship alive.

Peregrym added, “It’s a really, really difficult thing to navigate, and finding your place in that is difficult. I really enjoyed figuring that out this season and playing the ups and downs of it, all of it.”

Andy’s initial reaction to Marlo’s pregnancy news was an emotional one. She rushed away from Sam and said she needed “a day” to think about everything. While she’s still struggling with the thought of it all, she’s coming around and working on being a good girlfriend for Sam.
