Hawaii Five-0's Steve McGarrett will receive a special visitor in season 6.

Aunt Deb (Carol Burnett) is known for her sage words of wisdom, and with Catherine Rollins (Michelle Borth) back on the island, McGarrett (Alex O'Loughlin) could probably use a little advice. Luckily for the Five-0 leader, Burnett's character will drop into the storyline later this year.

Showrunner Peter Lenkov confirmed the guest spot on Wednesday:

Aunt Deb has featured twice in the CBS drama - once in season 4 to tell her nephew that she is battling cancer and then again season 5 to announce her engagement to a former mob lawyer (see video below). Deb's chemo was working well last time she visited Oahu, and hopefully the deadly disease will be pushed into remission when viewers see her next. Steve could use a little good news now and then.

McGarrett family members are few and far between, and as of yet there has been no news regarding a possible visit from Steve's sister Mary (Taryn Manning). Perhaps Manning's incredibly busy schedule will clear up long enough for the McGarrett trio to have a reunion in season 6.

Hawaii Five-0 will return to CBS on Sept. 25 at 9 p.m. ET.
