The youngest of the Empire Lyon brothers, Hakeem (Bryshere Gray), had his share of women on the debut season of the series, and it looks like he’ll have a new love the second time around after his father tried to pay off his latest love interest toward the end of the season of the Fox show.

‘Empire’ Star Says New Episodes Will Make Season ‘Look Like ‘The Brady Bunch’’

Spoilers are already coming out for the sophomore season of Empire as fans highly anticipate new episodes of the juggernaut series. Lucious Lyon (Terrence Howard) giving Camille (Naomi Campbell) a check to stay out of Hakeem’s life, but that doesn’t stop him from finding love elsewhere. Apparently it’s someone else in the music industry.

According to E! News Tuesday, “Sparks will be flying for one of the Lyon brothers and an aspiring singer when the Fox hit returns. The lucky bro? Hakeem! Expect to see the youngest Lyon attempt to woo a seriously talented vocalist, Laura…both professionally and personally. But it won’t be easy as she isn’t exactly down with Hakeem’s romantic intentions.”

Still, fans saw Camille rip up the check and vow to return. And she indeed will. Campbell along with the show’s co-creator and executive producer Lee Daniels confirmed that she is going to be back. When considering Camille’s dominatrix and controlling ways over Hakeem, it will definitely be interesting to see how she responds to him moving on so quickly without her.

Not to mention Tiana (Serayah McNeill), his first love on the show professed that she still has feelings for him on the season finale that aired earlier this year. See Campbell confirming her return below.

Empire returns to Fox Sept. 23.
