Lindsay Lohan was in need of a helping hand, but no one would have figured it would be Charlie Sheen who would provide the support.

The two got close while on the set of the upcoming "Scary Movie 5" and Lohan opened up to the the 47-year-old "Anger Management" actor about her massive debt to the federal government.

Sheen decided to give Lohan $100,000 to help reduce some of her tax debt to the Internal Revenue Service, according to TMZ. Now 26-year-old Lohan only owes around $133,904 to the IRS, but Sheen's generous move to help the young actress get out of debt was definitely a big help. Even though Sheen dropped off of Forbes' highest paid television actors list last year, he still has enough to splurge on his friends.

Sheen and Lohan share a sex scene in the latest "Scary Movie" film.

"Charlie and Lindsay filmed a love scene," a New York Post Page Six source said in September. "The scene they were shooting for the movie was of them in bed together."

The actors put on S&M outfits and Lohan kissed Sheen while wearing a bondage collar. They "shared some playful pillow talk during shooting. They were ad-libbing," the source added. "They were joking that they've both had a lot of issues over the past couple of years."

The source also said "everything went smoothly and suprisingly on schedule" and that during filming, Lohan got scared of a sound effect and "jumped into Charlie's arms."

Lohan almost didn't take the role in the film because she thought it might tarnish her comeback image as a serious actress, notably her role the Lifetime drama "Liz & Dick" where she played Elizabeth Taylor. But it seemed like the actress had fun with "Scary Movie 5."

"Lindsay was a great sport," the insider said. "She was poking fun at herself, and she really got into it and seemed to enjoy it."

"Scary Movie 5" is scheduled to be released in April 2013.
