Amber Heard & Johnny Depp Look Happier Than Ever On Red Carpet

"Everything in Australia, we absolutely enforce and make sure people understand ... a lot of things we're easy-going about, but we're not easy-going about biosecurity," Barnaby Joyce, Australian Agriculture Minister, said during a press conference earlier this week, via Entertainment Tonight. "We're deadly serious about it."

Deadly is right. According to the report, Heard is now facing 10 years in prison and a $75,000 fine in regard to the smuggling charge, as well as one year in prison and a $7,500 fine regarding the false document charge -- and she won't be getting any special treatment.

"All people are equivalent before the law and I think that's the Australian ethos and we like it that way," Joyce said. "If you get into strife, you have to defend yourself and there is no preference shown to anybody, and if you've got a good case, you prevail, and if you've got a bad one, well, you get a bill."

Heard's case will be heard on Sept. 7.
