Could Jennifer Aniston be Hollywood's latest love matchmaker? That's the rumor as there is a new report that says the A-lister apparently set up her good friend Selena Gomez with current chart topper Ed Sheeran.

According to Gossip Cop on Friday, Aniston apparently invited the two over for a special dinner at her Beverly Hills home so they could get to know each other a little better. An insider says that Aniston, "listened to Selena pour her heart out about her troubled love life, and wanted to find her the perfect guy. The first one who came to mind was Ed!"
What's more, apparently "sparks flew" when Gomez and Sheeran started getting a little close and comfortable with each other, sparking what could be the next big celebrity hook up.
Unfortunately though, a rep for Aniston tells the site that the rumor is simply untrue and that Gomez and Sheeran are not dating each other.
Just last month, Gomez did however say that Aniston is a maternal-like figure for the young actress.
According to Gossip Cop, Gomez made the revelation during an interview with radio station KTU 103.5. She says that the two big screen stars began their friendship through their shared management agency.
"Instantly, she invited me to her house... She has a pizza oven, like we made pizzas at her house," said Gomez, adding, "[She's] very cool, very sweet. And she kind of gives me a lot of maternal advice."
