Since leaving One Direction, Zayn Malik has spurred plenty of speculation about who he will work with for his solo debut especially since his very recent fallout with producer Naughty Boy occurred.

There's Drama Swirling Around Former 1D Member Zayn Malik's In-Progress Solo Effort

Last week rumors swirled that the former 1D member was dropped from Syco, but Entertainment Weekly reported that a rep for the label debunked that rumor.

While that seems like good news, it turns out Simon Cowell did actually drop the British singer. The Sun revealed in an interview with Cowell over the weekend that the music mogul is staying loyal to One Direction and giving Malik his blessing to pursue solo endeavors elsewhere.

While Malik may be off of Syco that doesn't mean the Sony family is giving him up. It appears as though the British singer will be signed to another label within the Sony family.

"But luckily within Sony there are a lot of labels who are really good. I had a feeling there was one particular label who would love to have him and they did," Cowell explained, adding, "It enables them to treat him as a priority and us to carry on with what we're doing with the boys."

That label looks like it may just be Epic Records since Malik appears to have been in the studio over the weekend with the label CEO as well as recording artists Jay Sean and MYKL.

On Sunday Malik tweeted yet another image from a recording studio. This time it had his name as well as three others labeled on the studio equipment.

A super sleuth fan seems to have discovered that L.A. Reid, Jay Sean and MYKL have been in New York this weekend and if Malik has been snapping and sharing photos that means he has been too.

Malik's cousin Jawaad might have been there too as he tweeted "Magic" to Malik and MYKL.

It seems like the recording studio session went well.

What do you think about Malik possibly signing with Epic Records and working with MYKL and Jay Sean?
