Jenner was reportedly in the mix to join Dancing With the Stars in the fall though she ultimately opted against it. A new insider told RadarOnline why she chose not to do the show.

"At first, Caitlyn was so excited about it and nearly signed up straight away, but after careful thought and even trying out a few moves, she's realized she was in over her head," the supposed insider said.

"She also found she's nowhere near as powerful in her movements as she used to be and she's totally lost her confidence in her body's strength and abilities," the insider added.

Ultimately though, the main reason behind her backing out was supposedly because "she doesn't want to be a laughingstock."

The validity of this insider and their claims is unknown, and it has not been commented on by Jenner or her team.

Other members of the Jenner/Kardashian clan have competed on the show in the past. Kim Kardashian competed back in 2008 while her brother Rob Kardashian competed in 2011. Kim was the third person eliminated in her season while Rob was the runner-up of his.

There has not been any official announcement about the cast of the upcoming season of Dancing With the Stars.

Dancing With the Stars returns for a new season on Monday, Sept. 14 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.
