One of the former contestants of RuPaul's Drag Race opened up on what a queen must do to prove that she can win the competition.

On Monday, Gay Times Magazine tweeted an interview with Chad Michaels who came close to winning the fourth season of the drag series, but was beaten by Sharon Needles. When Michaels was asked what it takes to be able to win the season, she mentioned that it requires more than just how a queen looks.

"One has to be a 'full package' to be successful in the competition," she said. "That means aesthetic, talent, personality, uniqueness, the list goes on. These are the qualities RuPaul is looking for in a winner!"

Michaels then dished on how each winner of the race has given their own unique way on defining what it means to be the "future of drag."

"Sharon fills a space in people's hearts then and now as a winner of RPDR," the Season 4 finalist said. "I think each winner before and after Sharon has proven that yet another quality or talent also defines the title of 'Next Drag Superstar.' The future is now and we are all making the future happen. The wheel grinds on and we all take our place in this wonderful cultural phenomenon of Drag!"

RuPaul's Drag Race Season 8 is expected to premiere in spring 2016 on Logo TV.
