"Smosh" creators Ian Hecox and Anthony Padilla are getting ready to release their first movie, aptly titled Smosh: The Movie.

Hecox and Padilla, both 27, are starring in their first feature-length film with Smosh: The Movie. The YouTube stars play themselves.

In the film, a mortifying video of Padilla is leaked on the Internet before he is set to attend his fifth high school reunion. Hecok joins Padilla in hunting down the origin of the video as Padilla worries about screwing things up with his crush, Anna.

The film premiered on Wednesday at the Westwood Village Theater in Hollywood. It was also screened Thursday at VidCon, a fan convention in Anaheim, Calif. that connects YouTubers with subscribers.

Hecox and Padilla's Smosh empire started on YouTube, where they have no amassed over 35 million subscribers across five different channels.

"We weren't seeking fame or recognition in any way. It all just came out of nowhere really," Padilla said, via the Los Angeles Times. "We didn't plan for any of this to happen. I was extremely shy in high school. Ian was pretty funny. But we both weren't actors."

"We've stayed around because we've constantly evolved our content," Hecox added. "We just want to keep expanding Smosh."

The YouTube stars earned $10 million through Smosh in 2013, a hefty total for two guys whose first videos comprised of them lip-syncing to various songs.
