Things are definitely going to heat up some as one of Catherine's (Kristin Kreuk) old flirtations will be returning for season 4 of Beauty and the Beast.

New Villainous Beasts To Create Menace In Season 3

TVLine revealed that Max Brown (Evan Marks), who was a police medical examiner who had a romantic liaison with Catherine in season 1 of the CW show, is returning. Marks will be coming back for one episode in season 4 of Beauty and the Beast.

As the report also notes, what is most surprising about this development is that Brown died in season 1, so his return could mean one of two things -- either he will appear as part of a flashback or some magical beastly powers resuscitated him, something like the mysterious antidote that brought J.T. (Austin Basis) back from the dead.
