Cynthia Bailey and Peter Thomas have had more than their fair share of downs in their relationship on Bravo’s The Real Housewives of Atlanta and Bailey is giving her thoughts on marriage as they celebrate their fifth wedding anniversary.

When fans first met Bailey on the third season of the show, she was engaged to Thomas, much to her family’s dismay. Since then, they have seen lots of drama from financial issues to her sister and mother trying to hide the marriage certificate on her wedding day.

In the latest issue, Thomas was seen cozying up and arguably kissing a mystery woman in a video that surfaced online and went viral.

Bailey opened up about the current status of their relationship with People magazine as she launched her new line Cynthia Bailey Eyewear a Jill Zarin’s 3rd Annual Luxury Luncheon in Southampton, N.Y. over the weekend. Zarin used to be a housewife on the New York installment as well.

“Marriage is tough! We have our own business, we’re on a reality show together and we are husband and wife. That’s a lot of togetherness. Sometimes you’re like ‘Wow, this is a lot!’”

Still, Bailey said that no matter what happens between her and Thomas, she knows their marriage has already withstood the test of time.

“[Peter’s] great. It’s been a great ride. The show has more than tested our relationship, but i think we’re good. And hey, God forbid we don’t make it, we know we tried! We can walk away with no guilt because we know we tried it in every way.”
