The cast continues to crow for the highly anticipated second season of ABC's breakout anthology series Secrets and Lies, and fans are already beginning to wonder if they're looking at the face of the person who will be revealed to be a murderer when the show returns next year.

Michael Ealy Joins The Cast Of "Secrets and Lies'

Mekia Cox (Crazy Stupid Love) has officially been cast for the next part of the series as Amanda Warner, the sister of main character Eric Warner (Michael Ealy).

So far, the synopsis for the show's second season will feature an all-new crime featuring an intense look at Eric by the returning Detective Andrea Cornell (Juliette Lewis), who will be investigating the murder of Eric's wife, whom he recently married.

Is Detective Cornell Starting Over In A Fresh Location?

As for Cox's character, she will not only portray Eric's sister, but she will be the wife of a prominent Charlotte surgeon, who also works as a criminal attorney for the Public Defender's office. She will, according to Deadline, idolize her older brother and will be fiercely protective of him, coming to his aid when he becomes Cornell's prime target in the investigation.

The first season of the anthology series, which saw Ryan Phillippe in the lead role as Cornell's target, saw major success for ABC with high ratings, as the show handed out several twists and turns in the mystery, before finally revealing that Phillippe's character, Ben Crawford, was not responsible for his son's death, which was actually committed by his daughter, Abby (Belle Shouse). To protect her, Crawford confessed to the crime and went to prison in her place.

In the online addendum to the show, Cornell Confidential, it was strongly hinted at that Crawford later died in prison, and Cornell was able to track down Abby and put her away with help from her older sister, Natalie (Indiana Evans).
