As questions continue to circulate around Katrina Kaif and Ranbir Kapoor's relationship, there have been signs from the past that implied they were ready to settle down.

A couple of Kapoor's family members have spoken up with suspicious theories while several other reports mentioned rings. One of these includes a report from Deccan Chronicle last March when it was mentioned that Kaif met Kapoor's grandmother as they allegedly had an engagement celebration.

"Since then he has gone to meet Katrina's family in London and she has spent a considerable amount of time with the Kapoors," a source said. "So this is not a surprise at all. They chose to have the engagement ceremony in Delhi instead of Mumabi to keep the media at bay."

It was also discovered from Bollywood Life last March that Kapoor's father, Rishi, may have accidentally let out that his son was planning to get married. He mentioned that Ranbir doesn't live with him anymore and might be getting ready to start a family, which may or may not include a wife and/or kids.

"He doesn't live with us anymore, which is also a very big setback to [Ranbir's mother Neetu and me," Rishi told a leading daily. "We're building a new home where there will be a lot of place for him and his family. Till then, life goes on."

Meanwhile, last July, the actor's cousin Kareena mentioned to Filmfare that she didn't know if a wedding would happen- but she'd be happy for him if there was one.

"I can only react when Ranbir, himself, tells me about the wedding," Kareena said via Miss Malini. "They make an amazing pair and she makes a brilliant girl for him. I wish them nothing but the best. I highly recommend marriage for them."

It was then revealed on Business of Cinema that the stars are not engaged.
