Mehgan James is still clapping and throwing shade at her Basketball Wives LA co-stars as she defended her spot on the show as a single woman.

Draya Michele Talks ‘BBWLA’ & Mint Swim Line After Split With Orlando Scandrick

She spoke with the network on Wednesday and didn’t hold back when revealing what she really thinks about the ladies, Draya Michele and Patrice Curry, who are budding into her arch nemeses.

For starters she made it clear she doesn’t believe you actually have to be married to be on the show.

“The term ‘basketball wife’ is used loosely. There have been plenty of people on the show that were never married to a ball player and I just feel like a lot of the women who deal with basketball players probably won’t ever get married because athletes are dogs. You don’t have to be a wife to be on the show, everyone shares the same experiences: wife or girlfriend or ex-girlfriend.”

She added that she didn’t get a good first impression from Draya, Brandi Maxiell or Malaysia Pargo. While things quickly changed and she hit it off with Maxiell and Pargo, her and Draya still have yet to get on better terms.

“She’s been really hypocritical and I just don’t understand; I really don’t get it. Later, I met Shaunie, and out of all of the girls,s he was nice to me from the beginning to the end and I really respect and admire her.”

As for Curry who also joined the show this season, James stood by her decision to call her “evil.”

“I got to meet Patrice and I was just really thinking in the back of my head like who’s she married to? I’m not gonna throw any shade, I’ll just continue on.

Filming with Patrice was always really awkward because she never really said anything and when she did, she was just like goofy to me. She reminds me of a lunch lady. It was just really…Patrice is really awkward.”

Check out one of their awkward moments below and tune in to Basketball Wives LA Sundas at 9/8c on VH1.
