Agents of SHIELD's search for Simmons is official on.

The ABC series begin filming last week, and new photos from Marvel indicate that the morphing Kree stone will be a no fly zone for Coulson's (Clark Gregg) team. Blocked off with caution tape that reads "Extreme Hazard Do Not Enter," the enigmatic monolith that ingested Simmons (Elizabeth Henstridge) will certainly be top priority for SHIELD's scientists, as long as they study it from a distance (see photo here).

Agents of SHIELD's third season will pick up a full three months after FitzSimmons was tragically split in half once more - those two just can't catch a break - and it appears the upbeat biochem expert won't be recovered before the premiere. Iain DeCaestecker (Fitz), however, expects Fitz to be working non-stop on tracking down his potential girlfriend.

I'm sure he'll be trying to find out where she is and what happened to her. I'm sure that will be a big part of his day," DeCaestecker said at San Diego Comic-Con, according to TV Equals, joking that Fitz could spend a little time playing X-Box instead.

That doesn't mean viewers should expect their favorite characters to stay static. Every member of Coulson's crew has evolved at a clip over the last two seasons, and DeCaestecker believes viewers should expect more shocking twists in the future.

"The cool thing is they are constantly try to change the characters and take them in new directions that hopefully you don't see coming as much and there aren't easy choices, which is cool for the progression of the show," the actor told TV Equals.
