Production of season 11 of Criminal Minds is in full swing and this chapter promises to be as exciting as any before.

Could Ella Greenaway Return For Season 11?

Most recently, the show got a new guest star who has great experience working on procedurals. Marisol Nichols of NCIS fame, will be joining the BAU for a a few episodes as a recurring character, portraying Agent Colburn, "a top agent at a Los Angeles outpost of the FBI."

Nichols is the second addition to the cast. In June, CBS revealed that Aisha Tyler will be joining the cast as Dr. Tara Lewis a forensic psychologist who specializes in criminal cases. The actress, who is known for her work on Archer and as a co-host of The Talk, will be playing a new member of the BAU, and is possibly a way to make up for the loss of Jennifer Love Hewitt, who opted out of season 11 on account of her pregnancy. This also set off rumors about Lewis possibly playing a new romantic interest for Dr. Reid (Matthew Gray Gubler).

Will Season 11 Be The Last Of The CBS Procedural?

In an interview with Digital Spy at the Monte Carlo TV Festival, Gubler revealed that he hoped that the next chapter would delve more into Reid's personal life.

"I'd love to delve more into his home life and his social life and to see his mother return and just to, kind of, like figure out what he does on the weekends," Gubler said.

Showrunner Erica Messer and some cast members have also been talking in various interviews about what fans can expect from the next chapter.

Joe Mantegna, who plays David Rossi in the CBS procedural answered some fan queries in a AMA Reddit Q&A. The actor revealed a few exciting things about season 11. Mantegna strongly hinted at Paget Brewster's (Emily Prentiss) return.

"Well, there's been talk of - there's a chance Paget may make an appearance now and again," he said. "Eric our producer mentioned it in an interview that there's a possibility that Paget may return from time to time.

The picture, which was posted on the "CM_SetReport" Twitter account for the show, also drops a cryptic question:

"What's black and white and red all over?"
