NCIS is presently filming its thirteenth season, after ending in a shocking way during its Season 12 finale.

Is There Going To Be Another 'NCIS' Spin-Off?

During the last few episodes of the last season a bunch of dearly departed characters kept appearing since Gibbs (Mark Harmon) kept hallucinating as a coping mechanism of sorts.

It looks like one of those dearly departed characters will be back for Season 13!

Muse Watson, who portrays Mike Franks, tweeted last Wednesday from his trailer on set of the CBS series.

"Home at NCIS. Ok, dressing room trailer," he shared.

Watson's character died in Season 8, but has since gone on to appear in Seasons 9 through 12 as a ghost and via flashbacks.

It is unclear how many episodes Watson's character will appear in during Season 13, but it looks like it will be within the first two or three for sure since the cast has only recently begun filming the season.

The premiere episode of Season 13 has been said to be picking up right where Season 12 left off so perhaps Gibbs will continue to hallucinate especially since he has been shot.

Mike Franks can either encourage him to fight and stay alive or perhaps he will be there to guide him to the other side since it is unclear if Gibbs will live or not.

NCIS returns to CBS in the fall on Sept. 22 at 8 p.m. ET.
