They've been trying to convince her she's crazy again and had been the one responsible for Avery's second kidnapping in an attempt to get their hands on her money, but Ric (Rich Hearst) and Madeline's (Donna Mills) scheme against Nina (Michelle Stafford) is beginning to unravel on General Hospital.

Ric Begins Playing Mind Games With Nina

After staging situations to make Nina believe her guilt over kidnapping Avery was making her delusional, Ric made a big mistake by leaving the replica baby blanket out in the open--which Nathan (Ryan Paevy) saw when he went to check on his sister's well-being. Now, he is using that discovery to potentially try and figure out the unsolved mystery.

"I've turned up new evidence," he says to Jordan (Vinessa Antoine) in the clip.

As a result of his carelessness, Ric will also receive a dressing down from Madeline, who will panic that the discovery of any other evidence could lead to a more thorough investigation--and reveal their plot.

"How could you have been so careless?" she asks Ric in the clip.

However, what neither one of them realizes is that the real foil to their plot could soon expose the truth about what happened to Avery simply because of concern that Nina is feeling guilt over a crime she didn't commit a second time. Silas (Michael Easton) was the one who kidnapped Avery so he could use her bone marrow to save Ava's (Maura West) life--and now, he may finally decide to come clean to Nina to help her feel better.

"Nina can't suffer for what I did," he says to himself in the clip.

General Hospital airs Monday-Friday at 3 p.m. on ABC.
