During last week's episode of Teen Mom 2, Messer, whose second husband filed for divorce last November, sat down with her mother, Dawn Spears, and discussed her impending divorce with Calvert, and ongoing custody battle with first husband Corey Simms.

“I knew when you got pregnant at such a young age how hard it was going to be,” Spears told her daughter, according to a report by MTV News on Wednesday.

In response, Messer tells her mother she's planning to put her three daughters, 5-year-old twins Ali and Aleeah, and 2-year-old Adalynn, on birth control when they turn 13 -- “whether they like it or not.”

After joining MTV's 16 & Pregnant in 2009, Messer and Simms welcomed their twin girls, and married one year later. However, their marriage came to a quick end after Messer admitted to cheating on Simms with her ex-boyfriend, Robbie Kidd. Year later, after marrying Jeremy Calvert and welcoming her third daughter, Messer as accused of cheating with Kidd again, and one month later, Calvert filed for divorce.

Now, with three kids and no husband, Messer is under intense stress, which led her to seek treatment in rehab at the end of May.
