Jennifer Lynn Lopez (born July 24, 1969) — often known by her moniker J.Lo — is an American actress, businesswoman, dancer and recording artist. She began her career as a dancer, subsequently venturing into acting. Her roles include the lead in Selena (1997). She has since starred in various films, including The Cell (2000), The Wedding Planner (2001), Maid in Manhattan (2002), Shall We Dance? (2004), Monster-in-Law (2005), and The Back-up Plan (2010). Lopez has released 7 studio albums, since 1999. Her 2001 album J.Lo reached number-one status on the billboard charts. Her 2002 album J to tha L-O! The Remixes reached also number-one. Five of her singles have reached number-one.
