The complaint, which was unsealed Thursday, claims that A&E's contract to shoot the documentary wasn’t valid due to Wendy Williams’ alleged inability to consent to the series.
“We've all seen the images over the last few months — and, really, few years — of what has seemed like a spiral for my aunt,” Wendy Williams’ niece, Alex Finnie, said.
Wendy Williams is seen for the first time in over a year as she bares all in a vulnerable two-part documentary series, 'Where is Wendy Williams,' premiering on Feb. 24 on Lifetime. In the documentary, Williams discussed why she departed from her talk show in 2021, her declining health and her battles with alcoholism.
