For 'Downton Abbey' fans, season 6 is the last season of the British drama series. The latest episode of 'Downton Abbey's' sixth season reveals that a couple will walk down the aisle, though things do not seem happy as drama is abound.
But what is it? The show nearing its end and yet having another dilemma? Well, doesn't all drama series have the biggest drama finale before it ends?
According to International Business Times, Mr. Carson (Jim Carter) and Mrs. Hughes (Phyllis Logan) will finally tie the knot, but the pair cannot seem to agree on the details of their wedding.
While Carson appeared fine with Lady Mary (Michelle Dockery) taking over every detail of their wedding, Mrs. Hughes was not pleased of the decision. Season 6 spoilers claimed that the wedding drama will only take a turn for the worse.
"A wedding-dress drama takes a disastrous turn," the next episode teased. "The breakfast battle is settled."
The website revealed that Mrs. Hughes will need a wedding dress, but given her employment as a housekeeper, hers will be a simple one.
The bride to be will also be fighting for a breakfast. While a breakfast meal after the wedding ceremony is mediocre, it just won't fit Lady Mary's tastes and the bride and the lady will have a full-blown argument as to who gets their way. Not a surprise there.
Lady Edith (Laura Carmichael) will be in London. The Lady will also have a chance encounter with "a handsome volunteer." The synopsis said that this unknown character will help Edith meet her deadline. Will this stranger's be "professional," or will there be something more to him and Edith?
In the meantime, Violet (Maggie Smith) and Isobel (Penelope Wilton) will still remain stubborn and be at each other's throats. "The hospital debate gets nasty," the synopsis said.
Huffington Post recently reported that both won't be afraid to involve other people in the fight this week.
As Carson and Hughes will finally wed in the church and may probably share a lovely wedding meal with the Crawleys and the other servants of the estate inside a local school. But this will not go smoothly as planned, since Tom Branson (Allen Leech) will return with his daughter Sibbie and claim that they will stay in the estate forever.
Simultaneously, conflicts within the family will also be featured in the third episode of 'Downton Abbey' season 6. As reported by Christian Today, the Crawleys will discuss their moves in the upcoming episode premiere. This means that the efforts of the family during the discussion will be filled with rage, especially if the topic will be about the hospital merger.
'Downton Abbey' season 6 episode 3 airs in the U.S. on Sunday, Jan. 17, on PBS. Stay tuned!
