'Toy Story 4' is an upcoming 3D computer-animated romantic comedy film, and the third sequel to Toy Story. It was officially announced by Disney during an investor's call on November 6, 2014, and was scheduled for release on June 16, 2017. John Lasseter will return to direct and he has hinted that Toy Story 4 will be a love story.
The film is described as a "new chapter in the lives of Woody, Buzz Lightyear, and the Toy Story gang."
Lasseter stated that the film would focus on the romance between Woody and Bo Peep. Its story will be built on the fact that Bo Peep was absent in Toy Story 3, with Woody and Buzz trying to find and bring her back.
Pixar president Jim Morris stated that he does not think the film will be a continuation of the third film, but will instead be a stand-alone sequel.
In October 2015, Pixar announced that Toy Story 4 was delayed to June 15, 2018.
Tom Hanks as Woody. Throughout all the Toy Story installments and supporting media, Woody displays his leadership, caring and loyalty toward other toys, and above all, a desire to love and by loved by his owner, which are traits similar to those display during his stint on Woody's Roundup.
Joan Cusack lends her voice for the character 'Jessie'. Also known as Jessie the Yodeling Cowgirl, is the tritagonist of the Toy Story franchise. She is Woody's best friend and Buzz's girlfriend.
Tim Allen will voice Buzz Lightyear. A loyal, brave and romantic space toy. He'll do anything to save his pals from any danger.
Bonnie Hunt as Dolly.
Patricia Arquette will lend her voice to an unspecified character.
Estelle Harris as Mrs. Potato Head. She is Mr. Potato Head's female counterpart, a love of his life and a true friend for all of Andy's toys.
Don Rickles voices Mr. Potato Head.
Mr. Potato Head is a popular toy created in 1949 and first manufactured in 1952, it was one of the first toys advertised on TV towards kids. It is a plastic potato that can be decorated with seprate parts like facial features and shoes that can be rearranged and changed. The original toy was just a set of sharp plastic parts that could be stuck into a real potato (or other vegetable).
