JonBenét has been dead for 20 years, but until now, nobody knows who did it. Meanwhile, a Netflix series entitled "Casting JonBenét" is expected to solve the crime, however, it will be otherwise.

Apparently, instead of answering the question: "Who did it?" it will answer why most people are attached to the case. Kitty Green shared the juicy info on E! News.

"We knew we wouldn't solve the crime. We did not set out to make a true crime film, we set out to make something about why people are obsessed with this case, about how a crime leaves an imprint on a community and how a community deals with all these unknowns," Green says in an interview. After 20 long years, Jon Benét's case remains mysterious.

JonBenét Ramsey is a sensational 6-year-old beauty queen who was found dead inside their own basement in 1996. The murder happened on a Christmas night and until now, it remained unsolved. According to Vox, her case is a favorite subject of filmmakers that it became almost as popular as the O.J. Simpson case.

"Casting JonBenét" will feature local actors including the child's parents, John and Patsy Ramsey. It will focus on the murder that happened 20 years ago and the evidence involved.

"There's not enough evidence to convict anyone. It's been 20 years and we still have no one who is a key suspect. I don't know how it will be solved, so the challenge is how do we move forward? How do we let this go? It's been the press for 20 years and she's still on the cover of magazines." Green said. She also added that the case has something "personal" and universal" that it might teach the viewers a little bit about themselves and why they are obsessed with real crime stories.
