Looks like J. Holiday found his way from 2007 to 2018. The "Bed" singer emerged from the Throwback Thursday vault to give his unsolicited opinion about the current state of the music industry.

Holiday is reportedly fed up with African American women singing about their heartbreak, specifically Cardi B, Beyoncé, and SZA.

In a video that was posted to his Instagram, the songwriter claimed that women should stop using pain to make a record and get nominated for a Grammy.

Following his statement, Holiday stated that he has nothing but respect for African American women.

"But with that being said, understand this, man: Black men, African-American men, men from the hood, we go through everything to make sure that who we care about are taken care of," Holiday elaborated.

Holiday captioned the video by revealing that he was still upset that Mary J. Blige took home the Grammy nomination for Best R&B Contemporary Album in 2008. The recording artist believes that Blige's win supports his argument that pain wins instead of talent. 

Although the rapper has removed the video from his Instagram, his followers immediately flooded his comments with bee and lemon emojis, which insinuated that they were supporting the Bey Hive. 

Twitter users felt that Holiday's shots at Beyoncé, Cardi B, and SZA were way out of left field considering he hasn't been relevant since his last hit "Bed," which was released in 2007.

Who is J. Holiday? 

Nahum Thorton Grymes formerly known as J. Holiday is probably most remembered for his hits, "Bed" and "Suffocate." The singer came into prominence in 2007 with his hit single, "Bed," which peaked at number five on the Billboard Hot 100. 

In October 2007, Holiday released his debut album Back of My Lac, which peaked at number five on the Billboard Hot 200 and has sold over 700,000 copies worldwide. 

Fans probably remember his third single, "Suffocate," which was also featured on his Back of My Lac album. 

In March 2009, the songwriter released his second album, Round Two, which reached number four on the Billboard charts. 

After undergoing label changes and release days, he released his third album Guilty Conscience in January 2014, which peaked at number fourty-two on the Billboard charts. 

SInce the release of Guilty Conscience, Holiday has not created new music.
