It turns out that even superstar Beyoncé goes shopping at Target. But of course, not without a bunch of security guards close by.

While the Bow Down singer was in her hometown in Texas over the weekend, she stopped in Target for a little retail therapy before performing Monday for the Mrs. Carter Tour at the Toyota Center in Houston.

"[I] saw a few Escalades parked out front. When I was shopping around in the grocery section, I saw a few security guards and what looked like Beyoncé," a Target shopper told E! News. "As soon as I heard her speaking, I knew it was her!"

As shoppers noticed her, the security guards made sure no one got near her. Even though she didn't take photos with fans, she still acknowledged their prescence.

"We yelled, 'We love you,' and she had a huge smile and yelled back 'I love you guys too!'" the shopper added.

Beyoncé didn't seem to be in a rush because she was spotted all around the store. In the food aisle, she picked up some Pepsi, since after all, she is the spokesperson for the popular brand. She also had a blast "laughing and chatting with friends" while she was "hula-hooping in the middle of the aisle."

Last but not least, she stopped by the accessory department to try on some hats where fans snapped photos (above) of her wearing mini black shorts and sunglasses.

After being spotted in Target, Beyoncé has now been inducted into the list of A-list stars who shop at the convenience store. Others include Jennifer Garner, Britney Spears, January Jones and Jessica Alba.
