The music industry suffered a lot during the pandemic. Concerts have been cancelled, and any tours that singers, musicians, and artists had booked in 2020, and also 2021, have had to be cancelled. Nevertheless, on the home front, musicians have tackled the situation as best as they could by recording at home and over-utilizing their social media connections to sell their music directly to consumers. Manhattan-born hip hop artist Thais Aimee Gonsalez has overcome impossible odds to become a successful artist and make it big in the music industry.

"I have always been passionate about music from a young age. But back then, I didn't have the support of my family to pursue music like I wanted to. They were not sure about the chances of my success in a career as a musician. So I had to wait a long time before I was able to reach a point where I could support myself to become a musician," said Thais. Now, she can devote herself to her music career without hesitation and that is what she is doing.

Thais has been a celebrity mixologist, a bar manager, and a kitchen manager, at various times during her career. Today, the 34-year-old artist is a business owner, an international model as well as a renowned independent artist. Thais has had her share of ups and downs in her life. The pandemic had a major influence on her decision to turn to music. She was unable to venture out and do the things that she wanted to, so she had to fixate on music and focus on it completely.

The success of her music and the love and reception her music has received from her fans has encouraged her to pursue music full time. "I am happy to do it," added Thais.
