New Evidence In Aaron Hernandez Murder Trial Proves Prosecutions Argument

While the ex-New England Patriots player is dealing with the issues surrounding the case, it also looks like his relationship is on the rocks.

On Monday, Yahoo Sports reported that Hernandez's fiancée, Shayanna Jenkins, was seen in court last Friday for the first time in almost a week. After being MIA, Jenkins returned to the courtroom but this time she wasn't wearing her diamond engagement ring.

Shayanna Jenkins's Will Testify Against Aaron Hernandez In Court

The site reported that Hernandez's family usually occupies the now vacant seats that are located directly behind his chair. According to the site, Jenkins comes sporadically, but hasn't been present lately.

Back in February, TMZ Sports reported that Jenkins has been caught lying to grand jury 29 times and prosecutors think she could have helped her fiancé get rid of the alleged murder weapon.

According to TMZ, the judge has sealed the record, so it's unclear how much protection she will receive in exchange for her testimony. Due to the fact that she's been caught lying in court, the immunity could simply protect her from perjury charges or for more serious crimes.

Prosecutors used new surveillance video that shows Jenkins removing a huge box from the house. The video shows Jenkins leaving the basement with a huge trash bag.

The prosecution is eager to prove that Jenkins disposed of the bag after receiving a coded text message from her fiancé and the bag could contain the missing murder weapon.

Hernandez has pleaded not guilty to the murder chargers and he currently remains in jail without bail.
