'NCIS: LA' Season 7 Premiere Plot Revealed; Callen's Lone Wolf Mission Puts Sam On High Alert

"[Russell] joins Avery and her team as they track down the most dangerous cyber criminals, beginning with the hacking of a home security system that turns into a homicide investigation," CBS teased in regards to the season 2 premiere episode. "Also, Avery considers moving to a new position within the hierarchy of the FBI, Krumitz is a witness in his sister's trial, Elijah deals with a delicate family situation and more is revealed about both Nelson's and Raven's backgrounds."

Avery may take this chance to take over Simon Sifter's job.

"She has an opportunity to take his job, but it's not something she quickly embraces," executive producer Pam Veasey informed TV Guide. "It means different things for her job. She sees that Sifter's job involved a lot of dealing with the brass and the politics of cyber."
