Barry is back and star Sarah Goldberg has nothing but good things to say about Bill Hader.

Barry is the incredible HBO series following the life of a private assassin who has decided that he wants to become an actor. (Which, shockingly, are not the most compatible fields.)

The title character, played by Saturday Night Live alum Bill Hader, finds himself in an acting class with Sally, played by Sarah Goldberg. The two strike up a romantic relationship which, of course, is complicated by many factors including but not limited to the fact that Barry is in fact an assassin.

Bill Hader is one of the greats. From his memorable characters like Stephon on SNL to his work in movies such as Trainwreck, he is a nonnegotiable Hollywood mega talent.

The reason for Hader's success is evident in the atmosphere he creates while working. In an interview with Collider, Sarah Goldberg shared her positive experience working with the superstar:

"He's a very present performer. We all know he comes from sketch comedy, so he's used to working in a group, and I think that's really helped him in this leadership role, where he's a real best idea wins kind of director.

There's no real hierarchy. Everybody's allowed to pitch ideas, all day long. We throw out nine bad ones, and then we get a good one. I think that kind of atmosphere has really helped everyone on the show and helped everyone really live in their characters. It's a really special and great way to work."

Barry was, alongside several other shows, affected hugely by the pandemic. The third season of the show is coming out next weekend after a three year hiatus. Goldberg shared that the energy people brought back into the room with them was changed but good.

"It was such a long break, and we weren't the only ones, it was the whole world, so we're lucky and happy to be back. I think that it brought a whole new energy to everyone's performance and that was matched with the writing. This season has pushed all the characters into a new place."

We can't wait to jump back into the story of Barry on May 8th.
