Outlander is angling for an interruption free run of season 2.

The Starz series took a fairly substantial midseason break during it's freshman season, but viewers may not have to wait six months to connect the events of Paris to Claire and Jamie's journey back to Scotland.

"The first half of the book is all in Paris and it's very political and it's a lot of conspiracies and maneuvering and gossips and double-dealing...and then the book shifts and they return to Scotland and then it's a war story," executive producer ron Moore informed Zap2It. "It's two very distinct halves."

Despite this, Moore is hoping to keep a continuous narrative flowing as the series' shifts gears and prepares for battle.

"You could theoretically broadcast it in two pieces because they are almost standalone sections, but right now the intention is probably to show them straight through," Moore said, according to Zap2It.

Unfortunately, the skipped midseason break could result in a longer wait between seasons.
