Outlander's Geillis Duncan burned at the stake, or did she?

'Outlander' Season 2: Claire Forced To Deal With Pregnancy 'On Her Own'? Caitriona Balfe Teases Problems With Jamie

The "witch" supposedly met her demise during season 1, but executive producer Ron Moore has revealed to Zap2It that actress Lotte Verbeek will take on the role once more.

Fans who have read the books know exactly how this twist will play out, but we are loath to completely spoil the fun for anyone who has yet to pick up Diana Gabaldon's Dragonfly in Amber.

'Outlander' Season 2: Jamie Is 'Not Relishing' Paris, Sam Heughan Teases Taking Off The Mask

For a hint, however, you may want to consider what experiences Claire and Geillis have in common and then extrapolate from there.

"It's a spoiler for people who haven't read the books," Moore teased, according to Zap2It. "It's a difficult question because it's sort of like Game of Thrones; if you've read the books, everything is fair game. If you haven't, you don't want to know anything."

Outlander will move to Paris for the first half of season 2. Jamie (Sam Heughan) and Claire (Caitriona Balfe) will attempt to push aside the Black Jack (Tobias Menzies) nightmare as they strive to change history and prepare to welcome their first child into the 18th century.
