A new campaign encouraging women to embrace who they are and aspire to be has swept across social media today at women around the world are embracing everything about themselves with photos and information about their pasts.

The campaign, started by Lisa Price and her company Carol's Daughter, takes the process she went through as she came up with a name for her company and applies it to women everywhere, in an effort to encourage them to be proud of where they came from.

"When I needed to come up with a name for our company I decided to come up with a list of things that I was and a list of things I wanted to become," she captioned her own photo on the company's Instagram account. "I figured I would affirm something wonderful about myself or call into existence something yet to happen to me. So amongst the things that I was and am was Carol's daughter, I was also Robert's daughter, and at the time Hank's secretary and Gordon's girlfriend. I wanted to become Gordon's wife so I didn't want to affirm the girlfriend position so I picked 'Carol's daughter.' It was the one that felt the best, it was the one that made me smile, and that's who I am. -@iamlisaprice, founder of Carol's Daughter."

Price then encourages other women to do the same by going to bornandmade.com and creating their own #BornAndMade photo to post on social media-something many have done and embraced since the campaign began -- with lots of positive praise for the message it sends.
