Things could get super gruesome for young Carl Grimes when The Walking Dead returns for its 6th season in October.

Something 'Big' Happens As New Threats Approach Alexandria

According to some recent Facebook posts from spoiler group The Spoiling Dead Fans, Carl (Chandler Riggs) could indeed lose his eye, something that did happen to the character in the comic books-though things may change slightly from the original storyline.

In the comics, during a zombie invasion in Alexandria, Douglas-the comic book counterpart of Tovah Feldsuh's Deanna, fired his gun at a group of walker overtook him, and the bullet accidentally got Carl in the head, permanently damaging his right eye and taking out a chunk of his face. However, things will allegedly happen differently in the show.

Norman Reedus Dishes On 'Wild Animals' Vs. 'Civilization'

The group notes that they cannot confirm the rumor, and they aren't sure how true they are, meaning things won't necessary play out the way they've been told.

According to their sources, the scene, scheduled for the mid-season finale, will play out as follows

"Rick (Andrew Lincoln), Michonne (Danai Gurira), Father G (Seth Gilliam), Carl, Jessie (Alexandra Breckenridge), Ron (Austin Abrams) and Sam (Major Dodson) are all trapped inside one of the houses. The herd has swarmed the streets of Alexandria. In order to escape, they cover themselves in walker guts and start walking through the herd on the streets while holding hands," the post reads. "Sam is grabbed by walkers and is eaten. Jessie freaks out and attempts to save Sam even though it is a lost cause. She refuses to let go of Carl's hand while doing so and as she starts falling into walkers Rick chops off her hand/arm."

"Jessie dies. Ron gets super pissed and aims his gun to shoot Rick. Carl notices this and makes an attempt to save Rick and jumps in the way," the post continues. "He gets his eye shot in the process. Michonne immediately kills Ron. Rick grabs Carl and freaks out. No idea what Father G is doing this whole time. A couple scenes later Rick apparently goes absolutely crazy and starts killing walkers. ALexandrians join in. This is the end of what is known about this big scene."

However, though they are unsure of how valid the way the scene plays out is, it appears something could happen to Carl's eye-as they did come across a photo previously which seems to show Riggs on set with a bandage over his head, covering his right eye.

The Walking Dead season 6 premieres Oct. 11 at 9 p.m. on AMC.
