At its heart, MTV's Are You The One has a kind of scientific premise. The show takes on a group of attractive twenty-somethings, who meet with psychologists to figure out who in the group is their perfect match. The catch? The contestants then have to live together in the same house and discover for themselves who their ideal partner is.

Easier said than done. As the contestants get to know each other, sexual tension kicks in and romantic feelings evolve. But as it turns out, some of these contestants may have been making the wrong choice the whole time. A "truth booth" tells them if they made the right decision and a lot of times they probably won't. This leads to broken hearts as well as jealousy, fighting and plenty of frustration.

And this season is going to have a nasty twist. With a grand prize of $1 million split between them, the contestants will lose a quarter of that every time a non-match is found at the end of an episode. So if four episodes go by and NONE of the members are found to be each other's ideal mate, then the prize will be $0.

Enstars had the chance to chat with four of this season's contestants (Alec, Rashida, Hunter and Kiki) about what fans can expect this season, tips on having a better romance, their biggest challenges and who the most notorious contestants will be.

Why did you audition for the show?
I was in a very long-term relationship for four years. I only had one girlfriend before the actual show. I was single for about a year and I had my fun while I was single, but I knew that I wanted to get back into the dating world. I wanted a girlfriend again, I wanted to get into a relationship and I thought that Are You The One? would be the perfect outlet to help me out. You know, they kind of do all the work for you, they find your perfect match and I figured, "Hey, why not?"

The series deals with a lot of negative emotions. So what is it that makes it all worth it?
For one, we were in Hawaii--it's an incredible island and it's very hard to be upset when you're in Hawaii. Two, it's just the experience in of itself--your perfect match is in a house with you and it's up to you to find them. Somebody found out who you're supposed to be with, what type of girl you're supposed to be with and she's there. So kind of having that in the back of my mind just made it worth it knowing that at the end of the day I could find love.

Will there be a money vs. love debate?
Absolutely. There are some people that are there for love and then there are some people I'm sure are there for money. The money's there for a reason, it's kind of there to be a distraction....but I was there for love.

What is the best and worst thing that can happen on a first date?
The best thing would definitely be making a real connection, developing a relationship right on the spot, maybe taking her back to your place--that'd be a hell of a first date. The worst thing that can ever happen--from personal experience I can tell you something that was very awful- - took a beautiful girl out on a date and I actually spilled a strawberry daiquiri on her. That was awful. She never called me again.

Other than you, who is going to be the biggest star this season?
I would say Chuck. As the promo says, Chuck's a player and he clearly gets around. He's definitely going to bring a lot of attention on himself.

What was your biggest challenge this season?
For me, personally, it was working together as a group. I'm a very passionate person and I really like to give my all and everyone's not like that. Some people want to give up so I didn't really understand that. It was really tough for me to try to encourage them and lift these people up who didn't care about the game so that was just extremely tough. You still show love and kindness with the people that sometimes don't care.

What is your ideal first date?
Basically a place where we can have a lot of fun and we can loosen up. I really don't like going to the movies because we can't talk. I like active dates like going skating or paintball, I'm a really outgoing girl so I feel like I can see all sides of a guy when he lets loose and has fun.

Did you take the competition seriously? Or was it to have fun and get a new experience?
I took it seriously. I've been in a lot of bad relationships and I've been through a lot. So to have an opportunity like this to meet psychologists and doctors who can really pinpoint who your perfect match is, I just wanted to take advantage of it. So finding love was important to me, making a connection with someone in this house, I felt like my life could change forever so I was very serious about being open. And the money was a plus of course, but if I'm going to play a game, I'm going to play it full out.

Where do you hope your love life will take you in 10 years from now?
10 years from now I'll be 34-years-old and I'm hoping I'll be married with three beautiful babies and a loving husband. I'm really shooting for that ideal family with the white picket fence, like every girl's fairy tale.

Other than you, who will be the biggest star this season?
I feel that Kiki will grow from this and blossom into a beautiful galaxy (laughs). You will see her transform and I'm so proud of her. I feel like the people that are watching the show are really going to grow to be fans of her so I think she is the next big star.

Is there going to be a lot of pressure with money being involved?
For most people on the show, there's gonna be a lot of pressure with the money situation because the majority of the people on the show either came for the experience or the money and some of the people really weren't there for love. It's a lot of pressure on us to find our perfect match for the money reasons, but I was there for love. It was my chance at $1 million in 19 other peoples' hands so I felt like I had a good shot at finding my perfect match and walking out of there with love.

What do you think is the best way to mend a broken heart?
Give yourself time. You can't jump into something immediately. And also to be open- to be not so close-minded about the situation that you just went through and to not be so negative and pessimistic about relationships in general and give yourself an opportunity to have an open heart and loving again. For me I love to love--no one loves harder than I love and when I'm not loving I'm not who I am. And you got to really focus on who you are and figure out how you can fix you before you can fix someone else.

On a scale of 0-10, how sexual is this season going to be?
I would say about a 7. It's pretty sexual. Everyone in the house didn't hook up, but I feel like a lot of people did. And there is a lot of sexual tension in the house and I feel like it was released throughout the show at some point.

Do you believe in soulmates or something different?
I believe there is one person out there, you just got to find them. But I also believe that in your soulmate it's not necessarily going to work exactly how you feel it should. Relationships are kind of like a job--you got to work at it every day, you got to fight for it, you can't give up on it. It takes a lot of time getting to know someone and people do change over the years and I feel like you got to change together and grow together, you can't just give up on it immediately. I feel like you definitely got to fight for the person you love- real true love is something worth fighting for.

Other than you, who is going to be the biggest star?
I feel like Devin is going to be the biggest star. Good or bad, I feel like he's getting the most attention.

What was your overall experience like on the show?
My experience was crazy! I mean, I've had so many ups and downs during it and it was just a growing process honestly, but it was crazy for sure. Big roller coaster!

How do you prefer a guy to approach you?
I definitely like a guy who can be funny and come in with a joke maybe. I don't like guys who are too aggressive at all. I kind of like it when a guy will look at me across the room and see how I'm responding, then approach me and be funny. A guy that's funny is so attractive to me. If they can pull off some jokes, then they've got me.

What do you think makes being on this show worth it despite the fights and heartbreak?
If you walk out of that show with a genuine connection with someone who's your way back, that's what I think would make it all worth it. And just the experience in general, you grow so much from the process so no matter if you're crying or yelling or falling in love or getting your heart broken, whatever, you grow and you learn so much about yourself, and if I wouldn't have gone through this, it would've taken a lot longer to figure out certain things that I found out about myself from doing the show.

Do you believe in soulmates?
I believe that people can have multiple soulmates. I don't think there's one specific person for another person, but I do think that there are people out there that you have a connection with and you build on that. So not one soulmate for one person, but I think you should definitely feel a certain type of way about someone and then build on that.

Other than you, who's going to be the biggest star?
The biggest star of this season is definitely going to be Devin. He's a crazy man and I'm sure you've seen from the promos and everything. So definitely Devin--100 percent.

Are You The One Season 3 premieres on Thursday, September 24 at 11 p.m. ET on MTV.
