NCIS is gearing up for a lot of change in the forthcoming second episode of the new season.

Mark Harmon Confirms Dr. Cyril Taft Will 'Be Back' In Later Episodes Of New 'NCIS' Season

Gibbs (Mark Harmon) is alive, but not exactly well. He is clearly battling some inner demons and they will continue to nip away at him as his team shows great concern.

In the next episode, which is called "Personal Day," Gibbs will undergo a wardrobe change, dressing more like Tony DiNozzo (Michael Weatherly) than himself.

Who Will Abby Have An 'All Girl Scene' With In An Upcoming 'NCIS' Episode?

Also noted in the press release is that Gibbs will enlist the team to help DEA Agent Luis Mitchell (John Gabriel) with a case that keeps going cold. There is much more going on as Tony realizes there is more to Gibbs' personal connection to DEA Agent Mitchell and his desire to help him succeed.

The NCIS YouTube channel uploaded the preview below, which shows the team's amazement with Gibbs' new look.

In the preview, Eleanor "Ellie" Bishop (Emily Wickersham), Timothy McGee (Sean Murray) and the others on the team gossip over Gibbs' makeover.

Gibbs exchanged his standard military haircut and polo shirt that he is known for to a modern cut and tailored dress shirt with a blazer, which absolutely has the team buzzing.

"This man looks spectacular," McGee states to Bishop by their desks.

"It's the makeover of the century," Bishop adds to the allure of the new Gibbs.

There will be a bit of humor as Abby (Pauley Perrette) accidentally shows Gibbs what she's been up to in her lab in regard to him and his new look too.

While the gossip about Gibbs' new look is lighthearted, tension will rise between Gibbs and Tony since Tony is truly worried about his emotional and mental state since the shooting occurred.

Tony confronts him about talking about what he's feeling, but it won't go over well.

In the NCIS headquarters' elevator Tony even tells Gibbs, "I'm just trying to protect you here," but Gibbs clearly doesn't see it that way.

The two will really bump heads as seen in the preview.

NCIS airs on Tuesdays on CBS at 8 p.m. ET.
