If the opening credits for FX's American Horror Story: Hotel are any indication, we are in for one creepy season of television.

Lady Gaga's Presence Is 'Magnetic' In 'American Horror Story: Hotel'

American Horror Story co-creator and showrunner Ryan Murphy posted the Hotel opening credits on his YouTube page today, giving us a taste for the overall feel of the season. There are many shots of mattresses and blood, as well as menacing looks from various tenants in the hotel.

Interspersed throughout the credits are neon signs flashing various biblical commandments. This is obviously in reference to the Ten Commandments Killer, the latest villain to terrorize our main characters in the same vein as Bloody Face, Rubber Man, etc.

'American Horror Story: Freak Show' Is Coming To Netflix!

And as always, the various stars' names are revealed, flashed with the same neon red signs as the commandments.

The order is as follows:

Kathy Bates
Sarah Paulson
Evan Peters
Wes Bentley
Matt Bomer
Chloe Sevigny
Denis O'Hare
Cheyenne Jackson
with Angela Bassett
and Lady Gaga

It is interesting that Gaga gets the "And" credit, which was reserved for Jessica Lange for the show's first four seasons. This may indicate that Gaga has a similarly leading role as Lange has had. Meanwhile, Bates usually received the "With" credit but now she has been bumped up to the no. 1 slot. Considering Bates is on a similar level as Lange as far as career longevity, is she in fact stepping into a leading role? Only time will tell.

American Horror Story: Hotel premieres Wednesday, Oct. 7 at 10 p.m. ET/PT on FX.
