Well, Diesel would obviously not reveal that climactic plot for the franchise, though he did reveal that he knew how it will all go down. Which means the broad points of the trilogy, that Diesel confirmed earlier, have been mapped out.

The actor also spoke about the most recent major development relating to Fast and Furious 8 -- the director for the movie has been confirmed. F. Gary Gary (Straight Outta Compton) will be helming the eighth instalment. Diesel said that he had worked with Gary fourteen or fifteen years ago in A Man Apart.

There has also been a lot of speculation about the title of the eighth installment and Diesel had no definite answers.

"A lot of people are thinking F 8, I just get lazy and say Fast 8 but I don't know if the official title is going to come out yet," he said.

On October 5, Vin Diesel also posted a picture with Gray on his Facebook account, which could be interpreted as a tacit approval of the director. This could be treated as some form of confirmation for the next helmer of the franchise.

In a previous Facebook post Diesel had addressed accusations of his high standards and trouble with some directors being the cause of delays in starting filming. While taking the issues head on, the actor who is also a producer with the franchise, stated that he will share his thoughts on the possible directors for the the eighth instalment in his next post.

Fast and Furious 8 is scheduled to be released in April of 2017.
