Taylor Swift and Harry Styles have separated, multiple sources confirmed to Us Weekly, and now details about the fight that ended their relationship have surfaced.

The couple decided to part ways after a vacation they took together on Virgin Gorda, part of the British Virgin Island, and Swift, 22, was the first to cut the trip short - she reportedly flew back home to Nashville shortly after the dispute.

"They had a fight," one insider told the magazine. British singer and One Direction member Styles, 18, "said something he shouldn't have . . . This [breakup] is definitely going to be for good."

Another insider added, "They are 100 percent over."

The two were first linked in November following Swift's summer relationship with Conor Kennedy. They were later seen together on a ski trip, celebrating Swift's birthday in England, at a tattoo parlor in Los Angles and most recently caught on film kissing in Times Squares on New Year's Eve.

Since the split, both singers have been spotted separately and not even in the same state. Styles was seen having dinner in Don Peppes restaurant in Queens, N.Y., on Jan, 6, before flying home to London that same day, according to HollywoodLife.com.

He reportedly stayed on Virgin Gorda after Swift flew back home following their fight. He partied with Sir Richard Branson and was photographed in the hot tub with other people on Necker Island, which is privately owned by Branson.

Swift was seen visiting her friend's house in Pacific Palisades, Calif., on Jan. 8, and has been leaning on good friend Selena Gomez to help her cope with the split. When Gomez had a dispute with rumored ex-boyfriend Justin Bieber, she was seen having a girl's night with Swift to help her with the heartbreak and now it seems like the friends have switched roles.

"Taylor and Selena are definitely planning some girl nights. Taylor said Harry Styles was a jerk, and said really mean things to her," a source revealed. "Selena told her that they were better than those losers, so they can't wait to have a bunch of girls over and dance it out!"
