There are already fans cheering for either a Kara/James pairing or a Kara/Winn 'ship, but episode 11 will see another potential love interest enter the fray.

"Episode 11 will mark the introduction of a new recurring character named Matthew, a hunky, well-built heartthrob with abandonment issues and - drumroll, please - a potential love interest for Kara," TV Line teased on Thursday.

Will a little romance help the series' regain its premiere ratings? We'll tune in solely to see Kara (Melissa Benoist) kick butt up and down National City, but a 30 percent drop in ratings indicates that some viewers might be a little impatient when it comes to the series' interpersonal relationships.
