Todd Chrisley has never shied away from giving his kids the iron fist style of parenting on USA’s Chrisley Knows Best. Now he’s getting real on how he really feels about them.

He said in the latest issue of People magazine that his family in general means “everything” to him. “I find some of the greatest satisfaction in my life from my children.”

But anyone who watches the popular reality series knows that it’s not all rainbows and smiles for the hilarious family.

Chrisley, who’s children Lindsie, 26, 19-year-old Chase, Savannah, 18 and nine-year-old Grayson star in the show, added, “But I also find them to be some of the biggest pains in the a** that I’ve had in my life.”

Todd also fathered another child, Kyle, from a marriage previous to his current with Julie Chrisley.

Right now Kyle and Todd are not necessarily on the best terms as Todd said that Kyle is suffering from bipolar disorder. The 24-year-old was just taken from under Todd’s guardianship within the last couple of weeks. But Todd still has custody of Kyle’s daughter, two-year-old Chloe, who has also made several appearances on the show.

This season on the series we’ll see the family explore more areas outside of the United States. The new episodes began in London, but Todd said they also headed to the Caiman Islands. Meanwhile, when they go back home to the Atlanta area, they can never get enough retail therapy.

“Shopping is like air for my family,” Todd said.
